Best Solar Installers in Sydney

Sydney is Australia's largest solar market by installation volume, and competition among installers is fierce. That means good deals are available, but so are fly-by-night operators looking to undercut on price at the expense of quality. We evaluated installers across Greater Sydney on their accreditation, track record, customer feedback, and after-sales support.

Solar in Sydney: What You Need to Know

Two electricity networks cover Sydney: Ausgrid (east) and Endeavour Energy (west). Each has different export limits and connection processes.

Sydney's housing stock varies enormously, from Federation terraces in the Inner West to modern builds in the Hills District. Panel placement and wiring complexity differ significantly.

Coastal suburbs (Northern Beaches, Eastern Suburbs, Sutherland) see salt spray which can affect panel frame corrosion. Ask about frame anodisation quality.

Strata buildings are increasingly adopting solar through embedded networks, but you need an installer experienced with body corporate processes.

State rebates and incentives

NSW does not currently offer a state-level solar rebate, but federal STCs still apply. The Energy Savings Scheme provides additional incentives through participating retailers.
