What a match means
When the company that installed your system no longer exists, the workmanship warranty goes with it. That is the part that covered the installation itself, usually for 5 to 10 years. Nobody is left to honour it.
Your product warranties are a different matter. Panels and inverters are warranted by their manufacturers, not the installer, so those claims still stand. Find your compliance certificate and the serial numbers, and register them with the manufacturers now rather than when something fails.
If the system needs work, any SAA-accredited installer can service it. Get a second opinion before paying for a replacement, and if the original installation was faulty, your state fair trading body can sometimes help even though the company is gone.

What happens to my warranty if my solar installer has gone bust?
The workmanship warranty, usually 5 to 10 years on the installation itself, is effectively gone, because the company that gave it no longer exists. Product warranties survive: they sit with the manufacturers. Panels usually carry 25 years on performance and 10 to 15 on the product, and inverters 5 to 12 years. You claim directly with the manufacturer using the serial numbers.
Who can service my system if the installer is gone?
Any SAA-accredited installer can diagnose, service and repair a system they did not install. If the fault is a product defect, the manufacturer replaces it under warranty. If the installation itself was faulty, your state fair trading body can sometimes help under Australian Consumer Law, even when the company has closed.
Where does this list come from?
The collapsed list is built from ASIC deregistration and external administration notices, cross-checked against the Clean Energy Regulator's agent registrations. The regulator records are the enforcement actions we track on our accountability pages. A company can fail without appearing here yet, which is why a clear result is a good sign, not a guarantee.
