EnergyAustralia Battery Ease Review, October 2026
EnergyAustralia’s Battery Ease VPP plan is no longer available, and existing customers are being taken off the VPP.
EnergyAustralia’s battery VPP plan was Battery Ease, offered in NSW. EnergyAustralia’s end-of-plan page now says Battery Ease is no longer available and that Battery Ease customers are being taken off the VPP. EnergyAustralia’s PowerResponse is a different thing: a demand response program that pays you for using less power at peak times, not a battery VPP.

How EnergyAustralia Battery Ease works
Battery Ease has closed. PowerResponse pays for cutting your usage during peak events, with or without a battery.
Payment structure
Battery Ease paid a $15 monthly incentive under its September 2024 terms. PowerResponse pays $1 for reducing your usage by any amount in an event, plus $2 for every kWh you reduce.
What happened to it
Not applicable: the battery VPP plan has closed.
Joining
You cannot join Battery Ease. PowerResponse is open to EnergyAustralia customers through its website.
