Households in Queensland can currently stack two federal programs: the solar STC rebate, which comes off your quote up front, and the Cheaper Home Batteries discount on the battery. The federal battery rebate steps down next on 1 January 2027, and the STC deeming period shortens every January until the program ends in 2030, so the same system attracts a little less rebate each year you wait.
