Before you sign a solar quote, check these three things.
Since 2022, 270+ Australian solar companies have shut down. These are the three checks that separate a real installer from one you will be chasing in two years.

The three checks
1.SAA accreditation
The new national standard (it replaced CEC accreditation in 2024). No SAA, walk away. To verify: ask for the installer’s SAA number, then look it up at saa.org.au.
2.The actual panel brand
Stick to Tier 1: Jinko, Trina, LONGi, Canadian Solar, REC. If the quote says "premium European panels" with no brand named, that is the tell. Get the model number in writing.
3.At least 5 years in business
Look the company up on ASIC (asic.gov.au), the date of registration is public. Most of the 270+ solar companies that collapsed since 2022 did not make it to year 5.
We have already done the vetting.
We have vetted Australian solar installers against this checklist (and more) for years. We match you with one installer who passes, not five who will spam your phone for the next month.
